Wesley Snipes Charged With Tax Fraud

Wesley Snipes has been charged with tax fraud after he allegedly failed to file federal income tax returns between 1999-2004, as well as (allegedly) conspiring with 2 others to file amended tax returns for 96 & 97 which fraudulently claimed tax refunds of almost $12 M.

If it's true, then Wesley was just being greedy. He didn't need the $12M refunds. In 96 & 97, he still had a movie career. Now if he was fraudulently claiming for an extra $12M these days.........well, lets just say, 'have you been to see a Wesley Snipes movie lately'????

The thought of anyone claiming a tax refund of $12 dollars just boggles the mind. I hope he put some of that away for a rainy day, because I don't think he's had any income from movies in the last few years.

Yes, it's been slim pickings for Mr Snipes of late. If you were going to claim a fraudulent tax return, would you make a claim for $12M? Isn't going for that much money just going to bring to the attention of the authorities??
