Johnny Depp in this months Rolling Stone
January 10th 2008 03:02
Are we sick of Britney's breakdown yet? I for one am. So I'm giving myself a break from reading about the retard Britney's escapades and am treating myself to a post that is deliciously self-indulgent....and I'm not going to apologise.
Johnny Depp features on the cover of this months Rolling Stone magazine.....and damn doesn't he look fine!!! I'm the first to admit that pretty boys just don't do it for me. Brad Pitt? Eh, Angelina can keep him. Orlando Bloom? Orland Bland if you ask me (though the man did carry off those elf ears and blonde hair in the Lord of the Rings movies!). Jude Law? I'd rather he continue to stick it to the nanny thanks.
But the one exception to my no-pretty boy rule has always been Johnny Depp. Why? Maybe it's because he just gets better as he ages. Or it's the fact that he consistently chooses off-beat and interesting movies. I don't know. What I do know is, whether it was Tim Hanson in 21 Jump Street or Donnie Darko. I love Johnny.
Rolling Stone features an interview with Johnny Depp this month focusing on his new movie Sweeney Todd, in which Johnny sings.

I don't like this picture of him ... Jack looked much better to me. *laughs* but it's not just his obvious sex appeal, for me it is his acting versatility and the ability to make me believe every role he plays... convincingly, chillingly, hillariously, seriously ... touchingly.
One of my favourite movies was 'In the Nick of Time' have you seen it?

God, but I love that man. Like Lilla says the attraction is a great mix of things! I don't go for the pretty boys either Kylie - I've never been a Brad woman.
I don't think I have ever not been attracted to Johnny (though, sorry Lilla, I didn't like In The Nick Of Time at all!) even when he is bewigged and ... be-toothed, or has a plaited beard... even in The Libertine, where I think he had no legs, rotten teeth and warts and things...
Hahaha

Good pick up tho!
Lilla - I loved him as Capt Jack Sparrow. Without his character those Pirates movies would have been unwatchable! I did like Nick of Time. But it's not a stand out for me.
Michaelie - he's does the best roles
Tracy - quick, go buy yourself a copy!
Raven - Yes she did take off to Mexico. Brit is so classy tht she bought herself a $60 fake gucci bag while she was there (why do I know shit like this!!!). Cos you know, when you have $120M, you gotta buy fake stuff!

The fact that he is a great actor, and a brave one, is the cherry on top.
