It's a Mystery

September 12th 2007 01:22
Before I report on any real news (did you like the way I just pretended that what I have to say is real news......clever huh?) something has come to my attention. I can't explain it. Maybe you can.

I know Paris Hilton has tried to overhaul her image since leaving prison. But can anyone explain to me why it is that she thinks having old lady hair will make her credible?

Let me illustrate what I'm talking about. Here's Barbara Walters. She's about 153 yrs old. Apparently she's interviewed every American President since Abraham Lincoln. True fact.

Her hair is perfectably respectable.

I'm old, so I'm allowed to wear a hair helmet

Now, here's Paris Hilton at the VMA's. She's supposedly 26. But her hair is telling me that in fact she's closer to 66 and is the product of amazing plastic surgery.

I wanna be just like Barbara Walters

Now don't get me wrong. I actually like Paris' short, funky new do'. It looks cool in other pics I've seen. I just don't understand why she decided to style it into a hair helmet.

Can anyone else shed some light on this for me????????

Her whole look at the VMAs was just weird. I too have seen pics where the 'do looked great, and if I had the hair for it I might even do it myself. Here, she looks like a woman in the midst of a mid-life crisis...

Kylie,

Perhaps she's planning to buy a motorbike?

Nina - I agree. Why go the funky leopard print dress only to team it with old lady hair?

I have just gone from long hair to short myself, so it's not that i have anything against short hair. It's just odd.

David - that could be true. Oh god, I'm picturing Paris on a bike....it's not good. And weird too, cos from what I've heard Paris is usually the one getting ridden rather than doing the riding. She really is going for an image overhaul

Will she be selling her cut locks on e-Bay?

she can have whatever hairstyle on that head of hers, it still doesn't change the fact that she's a skank. So with this hair, is she hoping people will believe she truly wants to be a serious actress?

Aimzter - that's the only reason I can think for her having old lady hair. She wants to convince us she's respectable.

Of course she's forgotten it takes more than simply helmet hair to make you respectable!

Looks like she's attempting to garner some credibility - having mumsy hair is an obvious first step for a superficial skank like her.....ie. don't actually DO anything to get credibility....!!!

Cheers
CC
PS....sorry to be nasty .....low blood sugar!

Okay let me be serious for a moment, whicj very hard for me.
My wife is hairdresser and here is a bit of radom unvarifiable data. Women cut their hair shorter if they want to look more professional.
Looking professional and being taken serious are the image that they may want to project.

Also seeing a picture of Paris reading 'Art of War' is much funnier.

CC - I have no problem with nastiness!!

Damo - true. Short hair is either A) more professional or B) more funky than long hair.

Paris did look funky with her short hair....but it's the barbara walters style that freaked me out.

But yes, Paris reading her religious tomes before prison and Art of War is way funnier

hahahaha...that is bad hair...mind you these days everytime i think something looks terrible and bogan, lke say for example Skinny Jeans i discover that it is "fashion" and therefore I am the bogan for not lking it...not to mention old and out of touch.....lets see if the old lady hair takes off in the real world, i am going to take a punt and say that it will never happen...its way too bad

funny post, and DEFINITELY NEWS

Wow I agree with your readers Kylie...old lady hair makes her no "lady". Neither does reading the bible or Art of war (like she could understand either), or carefully constructed press releases about her new attitude. All she needs to do is rent a "cart" and wear some sensible shoes, eat dinner at 4:00PM, and use a blue rinse on her hair and she will be one hot octogenarian. (Well her pick of men will at least be hard of hearing!)

Ha ha ha--looks like she got hairspray in her eye there. That's the problem with the do--too much hairspray. It probably looks fine without.
