Which Osbourne is HIV positive?

The Osbourne's

Kelly Osbourne has revealed that a member of her family is HIV positive.

Kelly told the audience at an HIV benefit concert in London that the cause was particularly close to her heart as a member of her family had been diagnosed with the virus. Kelly told the audience "This charity is really important to me because one of my family is HIV positive. And I am so, so proud of him." An emotional Kelly then apparently left the stage sobbing.

No word as yet as to which family member it is. My guess would be Ozzy. The man can't remember the years from 1972 to 2002, so god knows what he got up to!

Very sad news whichever family member it is.

This is a very sad thing that has happened. My heart goes out to the family and I wish them all the best of luck through these difficult times.

I'm sorry I've missed so much of your work. Sydney has been time consuming and I haven't had a chance to jump on the net. How've you been by the by ?

Bryn - I had originally thought Ozzy, cos of all the drugs and I'm sure thousands of groupies he would have had in his lifetime. But I think you're right, he probably would have gotten it earlier.

And Jack was heavily into those drugs, so that's also who I'm leaning towards now.

Ahmed - yep, Ozzy's the father with the long hair who has taken so many drugs he can barely think or speak (god I love Ozzy). Yes, he's married to Sharon. But Ozzy was a very very bad boy back in his day.

Yeah Sydney was so-so. I love Melbourne. I'm glad to back on Orble though. It's funny how much you miss this place. I've grown accustomed to it's computer-glow, it's scent of over-heated hardware.

I'm sure the Osbourne's have extended family. Cousins? Uncles? She didn't say it was a member of her immediate family.

I think it's sad that someone else's misfortune is our juiciest gossip.

Cool. Yeah, I guess it is a bit sad. But you're right, we are gossiper's by nature. It's just we used to gossip about the neighbours or the folks down the street. The internet now means we can gossip about people we've never actually laid eyes on physically.

I wonder if there is a gossip gene??

I'm glad you understand I wasn't making a personal judgment against you, your blog, or your viewers - but just an observation about society as a whole.

There's not necessarily anything "wrong" with our tendency to gossip - I just can't help but wonder why the negativity or hardships draw so much more attention and excitement than the good.

People seem to be under the impression that negative publicity is just an occupational hazard for stars. I tend to disagree. There's a line and I believe that as "the public", we cross that line when it comes to respect for the private lives of those in high profile careers.

Hi Wendi - I do agree with you. In fact, I personally was absolutely horrified to hear about papparazzi stalking Britney in rehab from helicopters. Dude's, that's taking it waaayyyyyyy to far.

As for the negative gossip attracting so much attention. I don't quite understand it, but we really do revel in hearing bad news about stars. Maybe it's because we then feel better about our own lives? That's kind of sad if it is!!

when you are a but pirate yah tend to strike treasures like those type of diseases.... the backside isnt meant for certain things....and from watching the show and jacks manerisms....he's totally out there... its sad.....but if you really, really have to live that kind of lifestyle you have to be safe....the back side is the dirtiest part of your body...

Hmmm.....Anon, not sure if you're aware, but straight people get HIV too! : )

And Magic's HIV hasn't disappeared....it's just that the drugs are more advanced and can hold off HIV turning into AIDS for a really long time (which is great). Whichever one has HIV, I hope that they are well and live a long life.

HIV isn't a punishment for an action that is seen as being 'unnatural'...we all have to be safe when it comes to sex and the potential of catching HIV....

I agree, I think the focus of the blog is the sadness about someone having it rather than judging how they might have caught the disease. I'm sure it will come out soon...the media are very adept at getting this sort of info...it's still sad though...

I sadly would have to think it was jack because he did that No Fear show, where he went to many different countries batteling opstacles he normally wouldnt do, maybe he is trying to live life up as much as possible. Who knows it is sad, and my heart goes out to that whole family no matter what

It is Terry Longden which is Kelly's cousin that was on The Salon reality show. He came clean around the 27th of Feb. look it up.
