Michelle Rodriguez Released From Jail

She looks as though she'd be right at home in prison!!

Lost star, Michelle Rodriguez, was released from prison yesterday after service 18 days of her 180 day sentence.

Michelle was sentenced to 180 days prison after she violated her probation for an earlier DUI and hit and run charge in 2003. Michelle obviously didn't think too much of probation, as while initially on probation, she was caught drink driving in Hawaii and served 5 days in jail there. Then a further one day in jail in LA for violating that parole. As part of Michelle's probation she was ordered to do community service and wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet. Apparently she had better things to do and didn't bother with the community service and is way too hard core to let a little thing like an alcohol monitoring bracelet stop her from drinking!!

Unhappy with her efforts, and LA judge ordered her to serve 180 days in jail. Michelle checked herself into the LA facility on Christmas Eve (coincidentally the same day that Keifer reported for prison duty for his DUI offences.....obviously he's not at a women's prison though).

Yesterday the Sheriff released Michelle as part of a program that aims to reduce overcrowding by releasing nonviolent inmates after they have served 10% of their sentence. While the original sentencing judge was unhappy with Michelle's release (he had ordered that she serve her whole sentence), he said that it was ultimately the Sheriff's decision. Obviously it wasn't the same judge who sentenced Paris and then overruled the Sheriff when he released the celebutante and marched her skinny ass right back into jail.

So for getting caught drinking driving, and doing a hit and run, then drink driving while on probation for a drink driving offence, then failing to fulfil the obligations of her probation for his first offences, Michelle still served less time than Paris Hilton. In fact if you add together the time that Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Ritchie AND Michelle Rodriguez spent in prison for their combined 6 drink driving and drug related offences........it's still less than Paris served!

Rick Solomon only wishes he'd managed to screw Paris that well....imagine how much more money One Night In Paris would have made!!

Michelle, honey. You're not short of cash. You're obviously a booze hound, and I'm okay with that. But girlfriend, seriously, next time use a f**king TAXI!! F**king dumbass!!!

It's almost become a trendy thing for celebrities to go to jail - even Mischa Barton is facing the prospect of jail time for her own DUI offences. Is jailbirding the new celebrity fashion? It's a sad story if it is, as these people are meant to be role models for young girls. First it was rehab, now jail. What's next I wonder?

That's quite a good mugshot as far as they go. I thought Mischa looked quite good in hers as well. Quite hard to do without the makeup.

Journeywoman - yes, I remember the days when getting arrested would have killed your career....let alone going to jail. Poor old Winona Ryder. If only she'd been busted drink driving instead of shoplifting she'd probably still have a career!

Harry - unless you're Paris Hilton who makes sure she has full make up and hair done for her mugshot

Raven - I'm sure there's a cartel in Colombia that would welcome them all!

I too can't understand why these celebs can't get their head around getting a taxi. Hell with their cash they could probably hire a full time driver to ferry them from club to club.
