It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes!
In 1962 photographer, Bert Stern, shot a collection of pictures of Marilyn Monroe entitled "The Last Sitting" just 6 weeks before she died.


This month in NY Magazine, Bert Stern recreates the famous The Last Sitting shoot with none other than Lindsay Lohan. Until now, the only thing Lindsay Lohan really had in common with Marilyn Monroe was the fact that she was likely to die of a drug overdose in a bath before the age of 37 too! But weirdly enough, Bert seemed to think that Linds could pull off the photo shoot.

And when you think about it, Lindsay was probably better suited to the shoot than most. Supposedly Marilyn was pretty much drunk and on drugs when she did the original shots (shot over a couple of days).

Stern has said that he was interested in using Lindsay as he felt that she had "more depth" than she has shown in her movies. Bert, Bert, Bert, most kiddy pools have more depth than Lindsay Lohan! But having said that, Linds looks surprisingly good in the shots.

This whole shoot sounded like a great idea after several grams of coke!
Lindsay of course, jumped at the idea of the photoshoot as she is apparently rather obsessed with Marilyn. A maneater who was more famous for her sexuality that her acting ability...........wow, these two really are alike!!!

Lindsay Lohan should really be spending her time trying to figure out why her career is in the dumpster, go to some 12-Step meetings, and stay out of the limelight. .. Her attempt to recreate the allure, magic, and tragic beauty of an icon the likes of Marilyn Monroe is so flat and without any grace or style .. it's really pathetic. Even in still photographs Lindsay can't act! This session should never have happened, and choosing Lindsay Lohan to re-enact this famous chapter in the mythology of Marilyn was just a HUGE MISTAKE. She really looks bad in these photos, and the entire set is really tacky. .. but, if you're going to bother, at least try and be authentic, .. and take off your silly little white underwear! Fuck, .. What a mess these photos are. Poor Marilyn, having someone as talentless and ugly as Lindsay Lohan have a go at her dead memory. ... What can one say. Just sooooo SAD, and so embarrassing for all concerned. Looking at these photos made my skin crawl!!! What low can Lindsay follow this one up with !!?

Marilyn Munroe had the one thing she hasn't got. And that would be beauty. These stupid young overdosed, overexposed and overrated bunch of hollywood brats that are shoved down our throat daily can never compare to the old time stars. Linsday may have a tad of talent but that's about it, and a little bit of talent doesn't make up for everything else she lacks!!

Hmmm...I saw these pics on the NY site and I just don't get it.

I'm not a Monroe fan but I will readily acknowledge that she was luminous and even through glazed drugged eyes she radiated a mix of vulnerability and sensuality that made you see beyond the nudity.
Plus she had some weird mix of softness that was slowly but surely going to seed that made Monroe's photoshoot compelling...you could see the toll the life she chose was taking on her but you still wanted to adore her.

LiLo looks...try hard. Yeah sure, great breasts (whoulda thunk it??) but...what?

To hard, too vacant, too caught up in the idea of her own importance to the world. Are we supposed to draw comparison? Are we supposed to think that Lohan is Lohan because she is Monroe incarnate?

puh-lease....

I just can't believe a professional photographer shot these... the original ones are great... And how could little boring and very, very poor "actress" lindsay (Herbie: Fully Loaded) lohan ever think she could replace beauty icon Marilyn Monroe? These shots are so tacky, Lindsay looks like a really sad old transvestite granny. I feel embaressed watching them...

Couldn't they have at least picked someone who actually looked more like Marylin? Maybe someone who can actually pull of blonde hair? Scarlett Johannson would have been a better choice.

okay for one Marilyn Monroe died in her bed not in a freakin bath tub.. do some research before you open your fat mouth! Second Lindsay lohan totally ruined the the beauty behind the original. There will only be one Marilyn. Lisdsay's hair looks god awful and her body has no REAL curvs like MM. Wow so she has some fake tits... Big freakin WOOPDIE DO!!!! Another thing you got totally wrong MM was never on drugs. She abused sleeping pills and alcohol. So seriously if your looking into a career as a journalist do some research!!!!

So, Lindsey Lohan isn't cute, definitely isn't pretty, and I'm sorry, but I never want to see anything other than her face (and I really don't want to see that either) because the freckles are kind of gross. OK, really gross. Sorry to anyone with full-body freckles out there, but just don't pose nude, K?
