Lindsay Lohan Arrested Again!

July 24th 2007 23:55
Lindsay Lohan mugshot
Rehab worked pretty well don't you think?
Just 11 days after completing a 45 day rehab stint, Lindsay Lohan has been arrested for drink driving again! The starlet was arrested last night for driving dangerously and was found to have a blood alcohol content of between 0.12 and 0.13! The police also found cocaine on Lindsay when she was booked. Lilo was released on $25K bail.

Police were apparently called after Lindsay's vehicle was chasing a car being driven by her assistants mother (her assistant was let go last night). Lindsay was picked up by police at approximately 2:15am. Lindsay has since been released by the police and is currently in hiding. According to her rep she is "in care". She supposedly has entered rehab once again.....though this time, not at Promises (the facility she left 11 days ago). Lindsay was scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show this evening to promote her movie "I know Who Killed Me" which is released on Friday,. Not surprisingly, she has cancelled her appearance.

Lindsay had been wearing an alcohol monitoring bracelet since leaving rehab. That's obviously been a great deterrent!

Lindsay had only turned herself over to police last week to be booked for her DUI and hit & run charges from her May arrest. But Lindsay will now find herself in a whole lot more trouble. According to TMZ, for Lindsay's earlier DUI and hit and run charges she was facing a maximum 6 mth jail term for each charge. Now she has another DUI charge and another possible 6 mths jail time. She's also been charged with cocaine possession which is a felony offence and carries a maximum 3 yr jail term. Lilo is also guilty of driving on a suspended licence (the same charge that got Paris Hilton sentenced to 45 days in jail). Judges in LA at the moment don't have a whole lot of sympathy for bratty celeb's, so if I was Lindsay, I'd be real worried right now!!!!

But on the bright side, at least Lindsay was actually of drinking age when she was arrested for this DUI charge! That's something right????

What a moron!!!

Bryn - must say I found it hilarious when I heard it this morning. What a skank!! If she doesn't do time, Paris Hilton is going to be pretty pissed off! She plays a stripper in her new movie.......I'm thinking it's not much of a stretch!

Is there nothing that will knock a bit of sense into this girl? And why on earth do people go to (Empty) Promises? It certainly doesn't seem to help.

Nina - I agree. Promises hasn't done a thing for Britney and definitely hasn't done much for Linds! Maybe jailtime will knock some sense into her?

I too see the ridiculous nature of all this. Yet, how sad that this youngster is so addicted and pathological that she continues to do this.

Deorre - you're right of course. It is sad. It's so self-destructive. Why after 11 days after leaving rehab would you put yourself in that position? She obviously isn't able to think through the consequences of her actions. I'll be surprised if she has a career left after this. Washed up at 21.

Kylie W,

I'm ultra-sceptical and cynical at the best of times, but even more so when it comes to rehab centres.

And even more so when it comes to celebrities entering one.

What do they do in these places all day? Sit around doing nothing and thinking about nothing, mainly. Be told a lot of new-age garbage? Do yoga and eat vegan? Who makes the rules for these places? As in, who are the real morons?

To be on the go, flat-strap, in the public arena for months on end, and then sit around doing nothing all day long for a month? Boy, I wonder what the person will think about. Um, 'As soon as I get out of here I'm going on a bender'?

I'd rather see these celebrities spend the money on paying a few people to come around home and have an in-house drug & alcohol party for a month, rather than on these rehab charlatans.

And why the stuff don't these celebs grab taxis. All she had to say was, "Follow that car." Don't they study movies, these people?

David ...

ah...I get it now. No more carrying around rat-like dogs in a designer handbag. It's getting plastered and getting steel links clapped onto your wrists. Hmm..do you think this trend will follow suit amongst some impressionable teens?

Man I thought this post had to be a joke when i first saw it...where do you start.......how many forms of STUPID is she - well ok she was drunk enough to be dead and probably won't remember her actions -
She has enough money to BUY a Cab EVERY time she needs one, forget about the fair.
She could do drugs and get drunk ANYWHERE yet chooses to get trashed in public and drive. What the....
None of us are perfect but...jeez louise

Let's hope she stops before she kills some innocent kid driving to swimming training or something....

She better start saving because I doubt anyone can come back from this

Is this what happens when Trailer Trash get Cash?

They think they're beyond the limits of normal human biology, and, scarier still, the law?

Scary stuff.

We were all kids, and we all did dumb stuff, but this is getting outrageous.

Even scarier still is that kids and tweenies think of Lindsay as a role model.

CLassic Quote off Perez Hilton web site re Lindsay:
“You know, we had Lindsay Lohan booked for our show tonight, but apparently she was ALREADY ‘booked.’ I thought our competition was Letterman and Nightline, but it turns out its Cops and America’s Most Wanted.”

Is jail the New Black?

...but seriously...why is this girl on such a self destructive path?
I know we all think we're immortal and invincible at 21 (some of us haven't grown out of it...) but this is all wrong.
What is she running away from/looking for/in search of/ etc, etc/please add psychological problem du jour.

...maybe that film where she played twins messed with her mind...
I don't know.
I guess she's no different to say, Judy Garland (for eg)...except the stars of yester year knew discretion...well their PR people did.

It's just sad now. They're all sad.

Hey everyone, thanks for the comments. I agree totally. It's sad and destructive. Yes, I did dumb stuff at 21. but if I had that much cash at my disposal......I'd take cabs. Or hell, I'm sure she has a driver!!!!!!!!

Mind you, Linds has been calling paparazzi agency's offering them photos for $30K. Is she trying to get her hands on some cash??? Maybe she's not as cashed up as we think???

I think that Lindsay needs to come to Texas and enjoy rehab in one of Texas' finest centers. It would certainly scare her straight! I am sort of worried (in a love humans kind of way not that I give a shit about her personally) that she will end up like Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, John Belushi!

Kleo - I think that's the part that I find so annoying about this. Snort all the coke you want. drink to your hearts content. But to then get behind the wheel when you were only arrested 2 months ago......well that kind of stupidity is unforgiveable. especially when you have drivers and 'people' at your disposal. Idiot!

I've been to rehab..in Sydney...it aint fun...it aint glam..the first time I went I met a guy.......my mum said (hopefully)..."elizabeth taylor met her husband in rehab".It aint like that..and he was not the right guy for me either then or any other time...I have been to 4...each one...more glamourous...the first I put myself into the skankiest one I could find to try to...shock myself...that kept me on the straight and narrow for a few years (coupled with the drug induced death of the man who I believed to be my soulmate)...but...its hard to explain and depression is a disease that can strip you bare..so bare you just want to take a little holiday from it ...for an hour...or a day...and drugs and alcohol are so easy to obtain...rehab strips you back..if you are in a good facilty..but from my experience you need a good back up network or it all comes undone...

David hit the nail on the head.....

My experience in rehab..you dont do nothing...but you have to expose the parts of yourself that you have hidden..for a reason and yes..if you dont have good support when you get out...well...to be honest...its easier to go to the blotto shop.... X

Dear Miss Nomer, (If I may Kylie)
I know exactly how you feel. Never been to rehab, but your description of depression cut to the bone. Got some recent posts on the devil itself. I know self medicating....Helps when the doctors cant.

Missnomer - you make a really good point. I remember reading an interview with Stephen King where he talked about going to rehab in the 90's. He didn't go to some glamourous facility. It was a proper rehab place that was filled with addicts just like him. As he said he had to realise that he was no better than these people. He was an addict. It wasn't a holiday. It was bloody hard work. These celeb's who jaunt off to rehab every time they do something wrong just glamourise and trivialise the whole thing. And it ain't glamourous.

I can see how if you don't have a support network that it would be so much easier to cover your problems up by self-medicating all over again. It's not an easy road.

Kleo - I haven't suffered from either thankfully. I know people who have suffered from both addiction and depression though. And there's nothing easy abut dealing with either. I can see how tempting it is to deal with both through self-medicating (hey, I haven't suffered from depression, but I konw first hand how wonderful drugs can make you feel........even if only for a short time).

The sad thing here is, the person that that drunk will eventually kill won't be herself.

What a selfish blob of human garbage. I was in a terrible accident caused by a drunk. My neck was broken and I was nearly paralyzed (i walked again no thanks to the drunk that hit us but to a wonderful team of tireless doctors) My close friend died at the scene and I couldn't even attend her funeral because I was in a halo struggling for my own life.

And this little bitch is still alive. Well I shall tell you right now, and you mark my words, I'll never watch another movie with her in it. I have thousands of friends in my city and I'll be encouraging them to download her crap illegally and then delete without watching... Then do it all over again. No one I know will EVER support this shrew again. And no one they know, etc. Eventually six degrees of seperation has to work somewhere....

Seriously, what a cow. She's rich, why can't she hire a freakin' car when she's drinking? I'm not nearly as well off as she is and I can manage to do that! I do my drinking and I do my drugging but I DON'T do it behind the wheel of a car. Anyone who does is a potential murderer. Period.

Ooh.. SO angry, dudes... SO angry......

(And she's getting fat. Maybe if she can't get a clue about the lives she's ruining, she should look in the mirror. A selfish reason for quitting this nonsense is still better than nothing.)

Angel's Voice,

I think that's the most tragic thing about drunk drivers, is that they hardly ever seem to kill themselves. It's always an innocent person who gets hurt. I have absolutely no problem with someone who wants to drink and do themselves harm. But they need to stick to harming themselves.....not others.

And why doesn't she have someone drive her round?? God, if I had the money it's what I'd do.

I'm glad to hear that you have recovered from your accident (no thanks to the person that hit you!).

Kylie
