Anna Nicole and Larry Birkhead
DNA results have now proven that photographer Larry Birkhead is indeed Dannielynn Smith's father. Larry announced the good news to the world, saying "I told you so".
Despite the fact that there is now no question as to the paternity of Dannielynn, the question of custody has not officially been ruled on. At present, Dannielynn will stay in Howard K. Sterns custody in the Bahama's. However, Stern has said that he will not fight Larry for custody of Dannielynn, saying that "I will do everything I can to make sure he gets sole custody". However, Howard has said that he would liike the transition to be gradual so that Dannielynn can adjust.
Anna Nicole's mother Virgie Arthur, who was estranged from her daughter for years however, may contest custody of Dannielynn. It's likely that she will seek dual guardianship with Larry Birkhead.
The next custody hearing will take place this Friday. In the meantime, Stern has extended an invitation to Larry Birkhead and any of his family who are in the Bahama's at the moment to spend as much time as he would like at Howard's place in order to spend time with Dannielynn.
With the question of paternity out of the way, there is now only the question of who gets custody and who will administer the trust should Dannielynn ever be awarded the $423 million from Anna Nicole's second husband, J. Howard Marshall's, estate. In Anna Nicole's will, Stern was supposed to be the trustee for Daniel should she ever die. However, with Daniel dying before Anna, and Anna dying before she changed her will, there were no provisions made for Dannielynn. Given that whoever administers the trust could earn 3% in trustee fee's per year, which would come to $12.6M per year, it's likely that we'll be seeing another court case to decide that one too!

Nina - I thought it funny that in a couple of articles I read that Larry said Anna Nicole would be proud that he fought for the testing.....hmm...I'm not so sure she would have seeing as how she was fighting it. And her mother said that Anna Nicole would be proud that she was contesting custody......uh, Virgie...by all accounts Anna Nicole hated you....that's why she wouldn't see you in the last few years.

I'm happy for him too actually. I feel a bit sorry for Howard K Stern.....but to be honest, I personally think that he knew he wasn't the father. I'm actually just glad that Stern seems to want to help the transitition for Dannielynn for her to go from living with him to living with Larry. I think that's nice.
