Kylie Minogue
On Saturday night, Kylie Minogue had to cut short her two hour show in Manchester after just 45 minutes due to illness. The Princess of Pop, who is on her comeback tour after recovering from breast cancer was forced to stop performing due to a respiratory infection.

Organisers cancelled Sunday and Monday's nights shows to allow Kylie to recover.

However, new dates have just been announced to replace these shows, on January 21 and 22.

Lets hope the tiny starlet recovers

Hey KylieW,

Hope she gets better soon...

OT: Did you catch Jake's opening monologue for SNL? The boy can SING! ;oD (It might help to listen to this first if you haven't heard Jennifer Hudson's hit from Dreamgirls though.)

Isn't he fabulous? lol

He, Heath and Ewan McGregor were the final three up for the role of Christian in Moulin Rouge.

Wow, I didn't know that. He is a man of many talents! I don't like Heath, so I'm glad he didn't get it. But I wouldn't have minded seeing how Jake went in the role of Christian.

I've become such a big Jake fan these days.

Hehe, he looks so cute in that evening dress! And those arms of his.....whew **fanning myself**

Conflicted on this one, I hate Kylie Minogue as a singer and performer, I do hope she recvovers but...........is it wrong to just hope she never appears on stage or screen again.

As for Jake, he is a mighty fine thespian and if he continues down the path he is on will certainly be one of the best.....

JohnDoe - hehe, you kind of mirror my thoughts on Kylie. I admire her tenacity and longevity in the industry (hell, 10 years ago she was voted the 2nd most hated thing ever by the British....spiders were no 1 and now everyone loves her). But her music isn't my thing. A friend asked if I wanted to go to her concert....but I just can't make myself fork out money for anything of hers.

I'm not fond of Heath Ledger myself, I agree it would've been interesting but he said it came down to age and popularity.

I suspect the cut of the gown was deliberately chosen to draw attention to his muscles! I was actually disappointed when he retained his tux at the Globes. ;o)

I can't say I cared for his 'unique fanbase' comment, though... we still have such a long way to go.

JohnDoe,

It will be very interesting to see how he develops over time... I think he's going to be one of the most in-demand people in Hollywood upon the release of Rendition and I can only hope he continues to challenge himself as intently in the future. )
