Guess Who Is Engaged?

April 18th 2007 04:09
Harrison
Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart
Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have gotten engaged after being together for 5 years. Apparently, Ford proposed on April Fools Day........a hint of things to come perhaps?

Harrison's ex-wife got an $85M settlement when they divorced. You think he'll make skinny little Calista sign a pre-nup??

Harrison might be 64 now, and sure he's no Han Solo these days (*sigh*) or Indiana Jones (*double sigh*)....but you gotta admit, there's something about him. As for Calista.....well, she's not Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie...so that's at least something in her favour.

This is a weird match this one....I too sigh over the old Indiana Jones days when he was just SO heart throbbingly hot.....
Everyone gets so caught up in Calista being skinny - Do you remember the first season of Ally, she had a bum? She had these compact little curves like an S bend, man, she was SO hot! I really think the pressure of Ally becoming so big was what forced her down to what she has the hide to call her 'natural' shape!
Im gonna get into that new show, 'the truth about size 0' just my kind watch...like 'supersize me' for girls! (even though I hated supersize me cos I love me maccas)

I always wanted to be Han Solo .... and pilot the Millenium Falcon.
And holster a blaster.
And wear a cool small black jacket and tapered pants with a thin red stripe down the leg.
And have a wookie as my best buddy.
Sigh.

Kleo,

When I first heard they were together, I thought they were a very odd couple. But they've been together for 5 years...so obviously it works for them.

I think you're right about pressure making Calista so thin. It happens whenever actresses get really famous. They get really skinny. It must be hard to know that there are that many photographers waiting to get a photo of you. Hilary Duff came out last month and said that yes she dieted and lost weight a few years ago. But it was because she saw a pic of herself with the headline Hilary Puff and they claimed she was looking fat. As Hilary said, who wouldn't go on a diet after reading that??? I can't stand Hilary Duff, but she has a point!

I only saw the ad for the show The Truth About Size 0 last night. But I'll be watching that. Definitely my kind of show.

Oh, I loved Supersize Me! And I don't mind the occasional maccas....it didn't put me off.

Ah...now I'll go back to sitting here at my desk, avoiding work and thinking about Han Solo and Indiana Jones........mmmmmm......

Bryn,

Oh, just missed that comment. I'm actually looking into Marilyn and Evan Rachel Wood now to post about it. He's 38 and she's 19....gross!

I'll be back with an update

Well, all I can say is all the best to them both. I hope they'll be very happy.

Oh and I'll also join the Han Solo/Indiana Jones Fan Club ... hot or what?!?!?

Andrea,

Yes, good luck to them both. After all this Han Solo talk, I'm going to have to go home and pop Empire Strikes Back on!

Huh?
I thought they already were engaged...I am so behind the times...they do have a child together though, right?

Harrison as Indiana...ouch..ouch...ouch...ouch...ouch.

Harrison as Han...some as hell!

...didn't want to be him though..not not be...wrong 2 letter word...

I wanted to be Leia.

Didn't Harrison's ex wife write ET?...surely she didn't need more money?
Oh well...she may no longer be a Ford but she sure as hell can afford anything she wants!

Best Leia/Han exchanges:

Leia:
Why, you stuck up, halfwitted, scruffy looking nerf herder

Han:
Who's scruffy looking?

****************

Leia:
I love you

Han:
I know

**********************

Han:
I love you

Leia:
I know

I forgot who scored Leia in the end.

Word through the grapevine is Jabba the Hut got a piece of the action.

Harrison Ford certainly aged gracefully. The Fugitive, Patriot Games. Indiana Jones rules... I wanna play a game with that as the rulebook, forget high school rules and handball.

Ahhh of course! Luke Skywalker nailed her!
Q: Would ObiWan have won her obi if Darth/Anakin hadn't gotten a piece first?

Ms. Flockhart, nice name, "but I wouldn't wanna live there."

Bryn - definitely preferred Empire over New Hope. Without a doubt the strongest of all the movies. Besides Han and Leia had the best exchanges in Empire (see Dusk's comments above!).

Dusk - *sigh*, I wanted to be Leia too.
Harrison and Calista have been together for ages, but not engaged. Calista has a child that she adopted about 5 years ago too....they don't have a biological child together (see it's info like this that clutters up my mind instead of holding on to real information!!)

OO - Harrison has agred very very well. Mmmmmm

Bryn, you prefer A New Hope? It's so, so good, of course, but Empire fulfilled all my childhood dreams.

Kleo,

Duh! Some people are so stupid though. I mean, those kids trying to sue McDonalds because they were fat? Dude, take some fucking responsibility for what you eat! : )
