Germaine Green with Envy?

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last couple of days, you've probably heard not only about Steve Irwin's tragic death, but also of the bitter comments from author Germaine Greer.
According to Greer, Irwins death was the result of the animal world taking their revenge on a self-deluded animal tormentor. She went even further saying that she couldn't understand Australians' feelings of loss in the wake of Steve Irwin's death, calling the Crocodile Hunter an embarassment.
Personally, I don't care what Germaine's opinion on Steve Irwin is. It's her opinion and she's entitled to it. But why on earth would you put forward this opinion in papers and on tv except to try and get a reaction out of people and hope that someone takes notice of you?
Some of you may have heard of Germaine Greer's very successful 1970's book "The Female Eunuch". I doubt many of you have read it. It just doesn't seem all that relevant anymore. Much like Greer herself.
Her comments to the media don’t say anything good about Germaine, and so you have to wonder if she’s just a bitter old lady, or so desperate for attention that she’s much more interested in getting her name in the papers than having any respect for Irwin’s grieving family.
Personally, in my opinion, you just need to get laid and chill out Germaine.

would know or care who she is. She showed no respect for a greving family. No wonder i am
not a femminist if she is the role model. She must have been thinking about her own death and been
envious as no-one will be offering her a state funeral, no headline front page news articles. If she's
lucky she may recieve a mention in the back of the paper somewhere.
