Fergie Sells Out Completely

Stacey Ferguson (aka Fergie) has signed a deal worth $4M (US) to promote the clothing brand Candie's in her songs! The transvestite singer will sing songs about Candie's on her second solo album.


According to Fergie's rep:

With record sales in decline, you must find novel ways to make money out of the music. The trick is to make the brand part of the song so that it slips down easily rather than chokes the fan. "Candie's will reach teens, but it has no say over exactly what Fergie will sing, or when. Fans might think she is just singing about candy. But it's got to work in the song. Fergie does not sing jingles."

Okay, my problems with this are:

1. Damn, she's going to make a 2nd solo album? Surely one was enough.


2. If sales of Fergie's album aren't great, maybe it's because it's crap and nobody wants to buy it?? Just a thought.

3. Fergie doesn't sing jingles? Hey, someone is paying you $4M to sing a song about their product........sounds like a jingle to me.

4. Candie's......do you really want someone who pee's themself on stage and looks like a transexual to promote your clothing????

5. How does Fergie get someone as hot as Josh Duhamel

Okay, so that last point has nothing to do with the Candie's deal.....but it's a valid question. Seriously, how is it possible that he can even get 'it up' when he looks at her???

That first photo is horrible! That's what happens when you've had too much plastic surgery. I'm saddened by this news - I really liked Fergie, especially when she was still with the Black Eyed Peas. But then her GLAMOROUS song came up and, to me, it just smacks of 'Jenny from the Block'. Seriously, these people should just stop singing about how down-to-earth they are despite all the 'glamour and fuss'. Who're they kidding?

Aimzter - she's had WAY too much plastic surgery. I've seen pics of Fergie from a few years ago and she was really attractive. Now she looks odd!

That glamourous song is catchy. But yeah, you're right. I'm not all that sure that Fergie is keeping it as 'real' as she claims

Okay, so it's possible that she is actually a chick. But seriously, how much of a drag queen does she look like? It's not right. She should have stopped with the plastic surgery about 4 yrs ago.

There was nothing wrong with her. She used to look attractive!

Seriously...Fergie is so mannish....but not in the hot Annie Lennox kind of way. Candies...really? Why didn't they get someone younger to hark their product? That deal just solidifies what a C list entertainer she is. Loved her with BEP. Never thought a solo career was in her future (well not for long anyway)

Maybe Josh is Fergie's "beard"?

It's like Rose McGowan ... have you seen her lately? What a shame, she's had too much work done, she looks odd now, stretched and hard looking. She used to look much softer and more voluptuous.
I can't stand Fergie by the way. Something inherently smug about her. And I don't find her sexier either.

Sorry Ahmed she really is a chick. But she's had so much plastic surgery that now she looks like a guy in drag. A shame!

Mis - You're right. Annie Lennox, KD Lang, Shirley Manson who kind of have that androgynous thing going on are hot. Fergie is wrong. I thought that BEP were a way better band for having her in it. I really like the extra 'something' she gave the band. But as a solo artist, I don't think she's much chop.

Rose used to be quite curvy and gorgeous. I don't get the obsession with plastic surgery. Better to have a few wrinkles than look plastic and weird!!!

Fergie definitely thinks she's 'the shit'. When in fact, mostly she's just shit.

She's starting to look like that Jocelyn Wildestein 'thing'.

I used to think she was quite pretty (and loved her in the 'Hey Mama' video clip) until I saw her.
I wasn't expecting the airbrushed perfection we're used to seeing in mags etc but...I also wasn't expecting the Bride of Frankenstein.

How does Fergie get someone as hot as Josh Duhamel

Dusk - oh yeah, I give her 2 yrs before she's a Jocelyn clone.

I used to think she looked pretty good in the clips from the Elephunk album. But she's just gone too far. She's scary looking.

And Josh Duhamel...............~drool~ ....~slobber~....sorry, I'll try to clean myself up now.

She was actually an adorable kid and quite talented when she appeared in the 80's show Kids Incorporated. My sister and I used to LOVE that show. It's sad, really, the way she grew up. It's not just her surgery, though... I think the attitude she brings across is just ugly.... and no amount of surgery or make up can fix that.

I've never seen any of her Kids Inc stuff. I've seen pics of her from her old band Wild Orchid (or something like that) and she looked like a normal person.

There's definitely something about her that just rubs me the wrong way!
