Eddie Murphy Takes Marriage Very Seriously

It's not your fault. I just feel like we've grown apart since we married. Things change...........very quickly apparently!

So seriously in fact that Eddie and his new bride Tracy Edmonds have split after just 2 weeks of marriage. Damn, even Pamela Anderson manages to stay married for more than 2 weeks!!!!

Eddie Murphy and Tracy Edmonds exchanged vows in Bora Bora on New Years Day. The wedding was only ceremonial, and the couple were to hold an official ceremony when they returned to the States.

However, their marriage got off to a rocky start, with Eddie yelling at Tracy in front of their wedding guests a few times.

Before the couple could make their marriage legal (and saving Eddie from paying more alimony perhaps???) the couple decided not to go ahead with the official ceremony and have now called it quits.

In a statement to People, Eddie said:

"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further....While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”

I wonder if anyone will ever beat out Britney's record and end a marriage in less than 55 hrs as she once did??
