Celebrity Babies

In Hollywood, it's all about babies at the moment.
The world finally got their first glimpse of baby Suri Cruise on the CBS Evening News with Katie Curic last night. What I can't understand is why everyone is so keen to get a glimpse of Suri. She's a baby. She's not quite 5 months old. What else is there to know about her?
Britney Spears is nearing her due date. Magazines have been speculating that this time she'll be giving birth to a baby girl. According to the news in this weeks NW magazine however, rather than being excited about adding a baby girl to the family, poor old Brit says she's never felt so fat and ugly. You'd think that standing anywhere near that husband of hers would make her feel gorgeous. Trust me, even at 8 mths pregnant and wearing the worst outfit she can possibly wear (and lets face it, Britney does wear some shockers), Britney still looks like a supermodel compared to K-Fed. Honestly, what does she see in that man?
Then there's P. Diddy (Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, whatever you want to call him) and his girlfriend Kim Porter who are expecting not just one baby, but twins. I'm interested in seeing what kind of baby clothes Sean dresses his kids in. He is a well dressed man afterall. I see his kids in a lot of bling. Diddy does have a fashion line of mens and womens clothing. Perhaps he'll branch into baby clothes. Bling Baby is what I'd call that line of clothing.
To be honest, I've never understood the obsession for celebrity babies. I found the fact that magazines were bidding for pictures of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt ridiculous. Yes the baby was born to famous parents, but that's it. Celeb babies don't have much of their own personality, they don't wear fabulous clothes and they don't have interesting things to say. So why are we all so obsessed?
