I Wasn't Drunk....My Drinks Were Spiked
June 6th 2008 02:19
Is it considered Glamourous to vomit in the toilets, pass out and then have to be carried to a cab by security at a Woman of the Year function? I can't find that chapter in my Miss Manners etiquette book
Earlier in the week, songstress, Lily Allen attended the Glamour Woman of the Year awards where she proceeded to drinks as much free champagne, beer, gin and vodka as she possibly could (who wouldn't). Much to Lily's shock she ended up so drunk that she actually had to be carried to a cab because she could no longer walk.
Lily has since said that maybe one of her drinks were spiked as she can't remember ever getting that drunk before (I'm betting Lily doesn't actually remember that much of the drunkeness part, so who is to say that she hasn't been that bad before??).
I'm actually leaning towards the fact that Lily was already pissed before she hit the awards. Take a good look at the pattern on her lovely party dress. Yes, that really is Bambi with his throat cut and blood gushing from his neck. You have to have had at least a few drinks (or other chemical substances) to think to yourself "what this dress really needs is a few pics of Bambi being slaughtered".
Lily, Lily, Lily. We've all been a little bit stupid before and hit the free bar with gusto only to end up bitterly regretting the action the next day. But c'mon honey, take it like a man. Your drinks weren't spiked, you just got really drunk - as often happens when one attempts to drink their body weight in free alcohol. We all know how you feel. We're all been there, and we've all tried a little too hard to justify how we could have possibly gotten so pissed. A spiked drink.............that's like Amy Winehouse saying that someone spiked her vitamin B12 injection with heroin. Nobody's buying it honey.
