Could MTv Be Any More Pathetic??

Brit at the VMAs. At least this year she looks like she knows what her name is.....
Anyway, unless you’ve been living under a rock then you know that the 25th MTv Video Music Awards were held the other night. Don't even get me started on the fact that the VMA's made it into the nightly news on pretty much every commercial channel in Australia (c'mon, it's not even a real awards show).
And obviously MTv were feeling guilty about letting a barely conscious Britney Spears open last years event. So this year they let her open the event by saying hello to the crow (even Britney could manage that). Then they gave her 3 VMA’s for:
- Best Female Video for Piece of Me
- Best Pop Video for Piece of Me
- Video of the Year for Piece of Me
Now lets be honest here people. I like the VMA’s. Sure, they have no credibility at all, but they’re fun. But seriously what kind of shitty artists must have been nominated for Britney to be the best of the lot??? Well, I’ll tell you:
- Chris Brown for Forever
- The Pussy Cat Dolls for When I Grow Up
- Jonas Brothers for Burnin Up
I actually liked the song Piece of Me. It was kind of catchy and not a bad song. But take a look at the video over at YouTube and tell me that you’d give it an award.
Seriously MTv, you barely had any credibility anyway with the awards to start with. And you’ve lost the little that you did have. F**king Britney Spears?????????
