Britney's Comeback Album Fizzles

Could this be Britney's last album??

After partying, rehab, crotch flashing, sex in toilets, losing her kids, publically ridiculed performances and just generally becoming a sad example of what happens when White Trash strikes it rich, Britney Spears had been hoping to teach her critics a thing or two by releasing a spectacular comeback album. And while one day she just might do that. Unfortunately for her, her new album Blackout isn't going to revive her career anytime soon!

After 4 weeks, Blackout is sitting at number 18 in the Australian Charts, after getting as high as number 3.

In the US, Blackout is sitting at a dismal 23rd place, after peaking at number 2. With less than half a million records sold it's likely that this will be the first Britney Spears album not to go platinum.

Perhaps if Britney had of been capable of promoting her album it might be doing a little bit better. But Jive Records pulled all promotion when the trainwreck popstar couldn't even be trusted to turn up to events. Personally, I think Jive were a little unfair. Britney is a very busy woman. She has to spend at least 10 hours a day driving aimlessly around to fast food restaurants and Star Bucks before filling up her car 7 times a day. That kind of schedule can wear a girl out!

Oh well, it might be bad news for Britney. But it's welcome news to my ears!!!!!!
