Did Britney suddenly become President and nobody bothered to tell me?
Supposedly it was Britney's new psychiatrist who called the ambulance to take her to hospital after realising that Britney hadn't slept since Saturday.
4 cops on motorbikes and an ambulance rushed Britney's house and took her to hospital without a struggle. The cavalcade included a dozen motorcycle cops, two squad cars and two helicopters as well as the ambulance!!! Jesus christ, overkill much?????
Apparently the logistics of getting Britney to the hospital have been in the works since her first visit to Cedars Sinai earlier this month.
Sources are claiming that Britney is willlingly receiving treatment. TMZ is reporting that, upon arriving at UCLA Medical Center that Britney told doctors that she is taking Adderall (an ADD medication) and was taking up to 10 laxatives a day! Damn, no wonder she's always stopping at gas stations to use the bathroom!!!!!!!!!

Britney apparently also accused her mother of sleeping with her boyfriend - though exactly who that is is not known (Adnan, Sam Lufti.....some other random paparazzi? Who knows?).
Of course its the Spears family and the drama can't stop there! According to TMZ Brit's family and her hanger-on Sam Lufti are now fighting over who gets to make the medical decisions on Britney's behalf - though the only person making any decisions on her behalf at the moment is the judge who signed the "5150" to hold Britney in hospital. Apparently though UCLA medical staff are "fully cooperating" with Britney's parent. I'm sure there'll be a Jerry Springer style throw-down between Sam and Britney's parents though once the judge signs the order. Afterall everyone just wants

So you didn't hear anything about her trying to commit suicide? They said on the news last night that she had but then the mother released a statement denying it or something... You just wouldn't know. It's all such a mess.

This situation is utterly perverse!
I must say, I am in complete sympathy with the idiot...err...I mean Britney. Ok, so a reasonable part of me is sympathetic...
She came to almost instant stardom when a child, she had all manner of drugs shoved down her throat from the start, I can hear them now, "...and this will help you give a great performance tonight..and this will help you sleep..and hey, snort this, it's party time!"
Nearly everyone in that industry gets caught up in it, but most escape the intense scrutiny.
So what was the difference? The media, from start to finish. They are like a shark, and saw blood when she started to stuff up.
Why is there not a law to protect these people, even us, frosuch media intrusion?
Why is Britney so hysterical, maybe the forty newshounds out the front of her drive could answer that? ANd police bikes and motorcade and helicopters!! WHo organised this? Her record company media department, or was it someone like murdoch's idea?
