More Kids for Brad & Angelina
March 7th 2007 23:23
Officials have confirmed that Angelina Jolie is adopting a 4 yr old son from Vietnam.
The adoption procedure usually takes less than 4 months, however Angelina has promised to give the Tam Binh Orphanage $2M on the day she receives her child. While officials have said that Angelina won't be given any preferential treatment.....$2M will probably help cut that waiting time down!
This child will be the couple's 4th child, and 3rd adopted child. They have two adopted children already: Maddox and Zahara. Angelina gave birth to their youngest child Shiloh last year.
I'm sure we'll hear that Brad's ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, is devastated once again in all the magazines next week. Of course, she's supposedly considering adopting herself (never let it be said that Jen Aniston let a fashion craze pass her by!) so perhaps we'll be spared.

I've never been a fan of Brad Pitt. I thought their relationship was just about over. But who knows.
Francis - nice point. Though c'mon, Angelina gave birth to Shiloh....even if by all accounts she doesn't like her all that much!

Just don't let her touch you; maybe Brangelina should start donating now to the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters.

I like this woman.
As she says, she earns a ridiculous amount of money, doing a ridiculous job...she gives over a third of her income away...she's not a philanthropist on tabloid paper only.
She adopted Brad Pitt.
And now he looks like her.
And I would do her too...
I think the not liking her biological child is more to do with feeling guilty about letting nature take its course rather than making the course of nurture.
What the hell does that mean??
I believe they're good parents...it's a curse for them, the way they look...it's like we can't believe that they're capable of innate human emotions just because they look like demi Gods.
(...Pitt ain't no Larkham though...)
They just look like they'd be fun parents.
So shoot me....what would I know...I'm only mother to 5...

Angelina has said that she feels guilty for all the kids she couldn't adopt.
Actually, her comment about not liking Shiloh was taken out of context. She was saying that newborns don't have a personality....unlike her other kids that she got when they were around 6 mths, so they already had personalities. The mags just took that to mean that she didn't like her own child. Mind you, I haven't ever seen pics of her holding Shiloh...only Maddox or Zahara. So who knows.
I think Brad would be a good father. I think he'd be a fun dad. As I said, I used to really love Angelina (and heck, who am I kidding....I'd still do her....even though I've gone off her of late). I'd be interested to see what kind of mother she is. From what I've read about her, Angelina absolutely adored her own mother. So hopefully she has similar relationship with her own kids.
And as for you and your 5 kids....that's.....well....th at's just impressive!!!

I don't know.
Deskchair psychology.
Also...Pitt sort of looks like her father, Jon Voight but is the absolute opposite personality wise.
Hmm....
And it's true...newborns don't have personalities, you have to rely on the myth that the maternal gene kicks in straight away.
It's when the child starts exhibiting her/his personality, the individuality, that the wonderment kicks in. Like...wow...look at you...you're a new human...you're beautiful...you react to me...I'm here to protect you and love you...
DAMN... I am so ready for grandchildren!!!!!!!
Well, the eldest is 22...I can wait 5 years...

By the way, are the adopted kids disadvantaged, or am I thinking of Madonna?
Great post, I loved it !!

Dusk - you could still be waiting a while for grandkids! My dad is so ready for some grandkids. Unfortunately for him, my sister and I are 30 and 32 and very single. So he'll be waiting quite a bit longer for them!!
Luckily my dad and stepmum see my kitten as their honorary grandson. Hahaha, how sad does that sound? A single girl and her cat. Really, I'm not sad. Honest. Truly. Are you all convinced yet?? ; )
AnthonyB - Queen Vic Market.....hahahaha. I love it!
MaaUpma - yes it is noble, and these kids will have a life that they could never have hoped for in their own country. What I don't like is that it's almost become a fashion craze and it seems like celeb's are adopting to help their public image. That's not right.
At least Ange and Brad are always seen with their kids. No nannies or carers. I admire that.....very rare in Hollywood.
MrsM - If she really does want to adopt and doesn't because of the media, then that is sad. If it's just a public image thing (as I think it is for a whole lot of celebs), then no sympathy for her......hehehe, sorry I can't stand Jen Aniston. ; )
