Tell Me It Isn't So. Avril Lavigne Wants to Act

Wow, even dressing like this can't make you interesting Avril!
Why is it, that musicians want to act, and actors try to be musicians? Generally speaking there's a reason that a musician got famous for making music rather than acting in the first place (and vice versa). Don't believe me.........check out Swept Away and try and tell me that Madonna can act. Or go watch Cross Roads and be amazed at how well Britney can't act.
And now, another popette has decided that she wants to act. That's right, Avril Lavigne has decided to give acting a go. She has a small part in the upcoming movie The Flock with Richard Gere. But the personality-challenged songstress has said that after doing a couple of small acting roles she's "looking to do a big part."
Oh goody.
Would you pay money to look like this?
Honey, go back to your has-been husband and concentrate on what you do well........writing pop songs for 12 year olds. There's already enough musicians in Hollywood who can't act, they don't need any more.

I guess if Hollywood was only populated with decent actors, there'd only be about 20 people ever staring in movies. Sad.
And the Madonna comment....all I can say is...HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA. Great call!

Ah, I haven't seen fast food nation yet. I'll see how she is. I don't mind the idea of her having bit parts. But please don't give her a lead role!!!!
I might add- I got told off by my sister last night about this post as she felt I was WAY too harsh on poor Avril!

I can't even stand listening to her interviews. She seems really pissed off all the time. Maybe films would give her a vehicle to deal with her anger issues... or not...

And yes, I know I'm a hypocrite to say that Avril should write something of substance while applauding the Spice Girls!! !hehehehe. I'm comfortable with being a hypocrite.
