Anna Nicole Smith as the face of Guess
According to the Chief Medical Examiner, Dr Joshua Perper, "the cause of death was combined drug intoxication". According to Dr Perper "it looks like she died of natural causes".
Anna Nicole Smith had been on several antidepressant and antianxiety drugs prior to her death, including methadone, human growth hormones, weightloss and immunoglobin drugs. Smith had suffered a 2 day fever prior to her death caused by a bacterial infection from all the drugs she was taking and was taking cold & flu medication for the fever.
Abscesses on her buttocks from injections and an intestinal inflammation were listed as contributing causes to Smith's death.
So, she died from taking too many drugs. Really? It took 6 weeks to confirm that she took too many drugs? I think the staff of the Medical Examiners Office in Florida have been doing a little too much beach time and not enough work.
In other news, 2 of Anna Nicole's diaries have sold on eBay for more than $500,000 US. The diaries were sold to a German man who is planning on using them as the basis for a book. The diaries are from 1992 and 1994. The 1994 diary contains details of Smith's billionaire husband's illness and eventual death. In one of the diaries, Anna claims "I hate for men to want sex all the time. I hate sex."
Can you believe that someone paid $500,000 for the diaries? This is a woman who was incoherant most of the time and apparently on a cocktail of prescription drugs at any one time. I'm willing to bet that a diary written by a kindergarten kid would make more sense that these diaries.

I actually read about the autopsy results this morning on yahoo news... Australia must have been sleeping, then. I knew it wouldn't be long before I saw the Orble posts. I wasn't nearly as interested in the autopsy results as I am in the paternity tests.
