Alanis Morrissette & Ryan Reynolds Split

February 6th 2007 02:37
Alanis & Ryan
Alanis & Ryan

Singer Alanis Morrissette and her fiance Ryan Reynolds, of Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place fame, have called it quits after 4 years together.

The pair, who got engaged in 2004, briefly broke up in June last year, before reconciling only a few weeks later.

Given that Alanis's first album, Jagged Little Pill, was quite angry and bitter, perhaps the split with Ryan will inspire her to finally write a decent song..........though probably not.

On a side note.......yay, Ryan is now single!!! Damn that man is HOT, HOT, HOT!

Hi KW...

I actually had to google him when reading Sisi's post. I didn't know him by name but I have seen a few of his movies.

So I suppose Ryan and Alanis are 'Just Friends' now...
and KW...Ryan is in Sydney!

Hope you're well

Dusk,

I didn't know he was in town until I read Sisi's post. I'm so jealous that she got to see him!!!

I hope Alanis is mad. She writes good songs when she's mad.

Her career went down hill went she got happy.

Love & stuff

Mrs M - I agree....she needs to be mad to write good stuff.

I was a fan of her happy songs, too. I'm all for personal evolution. "Thank you" really hit home with me. It'll be interesting to see how her emotions are reflected in her writing - but like her, I write best when wounded. I'm not too proud of that, though. I think it's a sad statement that we produce our best work from pain and that our happiness causes a decrease in popularity.
