Nicole Richie Confirms She's Preggers

Dear god, she can't work out which way she's supposed to drive down a highway, but she can bring a child into the world!!! Yes, it's true, Nicole Richie is having a baby with her boyfriend Joel Madden.


Rumours have been going round for some time now, however it's the first time Nicole has officially confirmed that she is indeed in the family way, telling Diane Sawyer that she is almost 4 months along. Nicole was interviewed by Diane Sawyer for ABC in the US about her driving under the influence charge, her jail time and her pregnancy. The interview will be aired on Thursday in the US.

What I want to know, is how someone who is essentially a walking skeleton even managed to conceive??? This may well be the first instance where a newborn weighs more than it's mother!

You reckon there are some young girls with body issues now. Imagine how f**ked up you'd be having Nicole as your mother? This poor kid is going to be on a diet from the time it takes it's first breath!! I'm trying to work out which kids I feel more sorry for, Britney's or Nicole's.

I wonder if Nicole will write letter to her new daughter/son as Russell Crowe did for his son Charlie on his first birthday. I can see it now:


Dear Peach Bunny Cruz Tigerlily Richie-Madden,

Today yoo'll be one years old, and mommy is so proud of you. You is the skinniest of all the babies at mothers group. You r not like the other baby's with their rolls of fat. You r all stick legs and arms. Your head even looks too big for your skinny body. Just like ur mum's.

I can't wait to watch you grow up. I'll teach you evrything you need to no to get by in life. The best ways to disgise diguise hide your bulimia. That a rolled up $5 bill works better than a $20 when snorting coke off a plate (it must be something about the thickness of the paper....but never mind that now, mommy will teach you about it on ur 13th birthday). How to get famous by simply hanging around others more famous than you. And the all important, how to give yourself an enema.

Mommy has big plans for her baby girl. One day you will grow up and marry one of the Spears boys, and I will be so proud.

And remember, as long as you never ever get fat, mommy will always love you!

Lindsay's Mum Under Attack!

It seems that nobody has much sympathy for the crackwhore mother of Lindsay Lohan since her daughters second arrest for drink driving and drug possession charges last week.

Donald Trump had a few words of advice for Lindsay on how to clean herself up (and plug his tv show), telling the troubled starlet:

"Find what you love doing (other than drugs and alcohol), work hard, stay focused, get a new set of parents - then join me on 'Celebrity Apprentice,' which is shooting soon - I'll keep you straight!"

Dina, unimpressed by the Donald's comments has shot back with this comment to Access Hollywood:
"Donald, I'm really disappointed in the statement that was brought to my attention from The New York Post. I've always had a great admiration for your business sense and I've read all your books and learned from them! Your own brother died of alcoholism and you own Trump Vodka? You say Lindsay needs new parents? Such a rash statement without backing it with fact? I am a single mother of four children doing what I can during this difficult time! Do a background check of both parents and you will find the truth! Shame on you... so many families suffer from this, yours included. We need solutions not opinions! - Dina and family"

For f**ks sake Dina, quit blaming your idiot ex-husband for your daughter. Michael Lohan is a complete waste of space as human being. But he wasn't the one trawling the clubs with his underage daughter. Persoanlly, I think Donald's advice is sound. Cut off the family!!

Dina was also less than impressed with Rob Schneiders parody of Lindsay on The Tonight Show last week. Lindsay had been scheduled to appear on the show to promote her new film I Know Who Killed Me, but pulled out of the show after her arrest. However, Rob had this message for Dina:

"When Mrs. Lohan stops partying with her child, then I'll have an ounce of respect for her,"

Rob also had some advice for Linds saying,

"I don't care if her parents are both crummy - you cannot blame your parents anymore. She's not a kid,"

"Lindsay, get it together, America will forgive you but you gotta do something positive with your life," Schneider adds. "I hope she does okay but at a certain point, there's so many bigger problems in the world than Lindsay Lohan.

"I hope she gets her head out of her nice, cute little rear end and finds a life for herself…She's very talented, and a special little actress but there are so many people out there who'd trade positions with her in a heartbeat and use it better than she is."

Poor Dina, it's not fair. She really does care about her walking ATM Lindsay. It's all the media's fault anyway. Just ask Dina.........or bring a video camera and she'll tell you herself. Like when she happily sat down with Entertainment Tonight (see the clip below). She even took time out of her busy schedule and visited her daughter during her first stint in rehab. I mean sure, she didn't bother going until ET paid her for a story and she could take a camera crew with her. But that's only because Dina didn't want anyone miscontruing anything that was said. That's why it's always best to play out your life vicariously through your daughter on camera! And really, she only waited 10 days before going to visit Lindsay during her 2nd stint in rehab. But you know, she was busy, trying to get her own tv show. She didn't have time for Lindsay!

Gee, I wonder if the E! network is still going to give Dina her own reality tv show that they'd been in talks with her about. A great show called "Mom-ager" where she was going to try and make stars of her youngest two kids (who are 11 and 13). Just like she did for Lindsay!!! Cos I think that'd be a brilliant idea. We definitely want another two Lindsay's running round Hollywood.

Actually, I should cut Dina some slack. She'd be an awesome mum. She'd be the kind of mum that, at 13, would let you and all your friends come round and drink beer until you passed out. Hell, Dina would even help you master the beer bong before hitting on your 13 yr old boyfriend. I mean she's practically the June Cleaver of the 21st century. She's a great mum.

Paris Loses $60M!!!!

Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!! That's gotta hurt. Paris Hilton is no longer our favourite heiress after her grandfather cut her out of his will!!!
It was looking like a good day for Paris when her grandfather, Barron Hilton sold the Hilton Hotel chain to the Blackstone Group for $26 Billion(US) earlier this month. A tidy sum that meant that Paris share of the inheritance was looking good.

However, so appalled is Barron at his granddaughters antics that he's cut her out of his will! Paris was set to inherit $60M (US) when her grandfather died. Barron hasn't been the proudest of granddaddy's when it comes to Paris. He was, allegedly, less than impressed with her sex-tape and wild antics. However, her jail sentence for her drink driving offences in June was the last straw.

According to Jerry Oppenheimer, who wrote the biography House of Hilton, "He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris." Oppenheimer believes that Barron doesn't want to leave any unearned wealth to his family.

Barron has said that he'll be donating the $2.4B that he will personally receive from the sale of the Hilton chain to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.

Luckily for Paris, I'm sure that her parents Kathy and Rick won't be cutting her out of their will, so it's likely that she'll eventually get her hands on a share of the Hilton fortune. Before you feel too bad for Paris though (cos we all feel terrible for her, I'm sure), remember that Paris is still independently wealthy. According to Forbes, Paris earnt $7M last year. Good thing too, now that she can't rely on grandpa's cash!!!

This is going to hurt Paris as much, or more, than her jail time did!! Good to see that there's someone in the Hilton clan that has some sense. It's a good thing Barron sold the Hilton chain. He wouldn't have wanted to have any of the Hilton family running it. He could have left the hotel chain to my cat, who would have run it better than Rick, Kathy, Paris and Nicky put together (though to be fair, he's a pretty smart cat!).

Wouldn't you want to be Nicky when Barron dies? I can see her running now taunting Paris with witty lines such as

Haha, even with your wonky eye you're still more attractive and interesting than me. But I just got $60M for doing nothing. Take that you attention-seeking bitch!!!

Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall of the Hilton house today?

Impersonating Audrey Hepburn won't get you out of jail time Nicole!
Last Friday, Nicole Richie pled guilty to her charge of Driving Under the Influence of drugs and was sentenced to 4 days in jail, given a fine of $2048 and ordered to enrol in a drug and alcohol program.

Nicole can choose where she serves her jail time. She's been given the option of serving her 4 days in either a city or county jail and she has until September 28 to serve her sentence

Ah, as long as we're enjoying a Friday Fun One, I had to post this. Apparently Lindsay Lohan's family is rallying around her since her arrest. In fact, they think she's might even be innocent!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, you'll have to excuse me while I wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes. This is priceless.

According to Lindsay's family, Lindsay was just trying to do a 'good thing'! Lindsay's uncle told The Post, that Lindsay's former assistant (who Lindsay was chasing in her car) "is a problem individual and Lindsay was trying to help her out

A Friday Fun One - The Best Poem Ever!

This week started out kind of slow in the world of celebrity news, but then thankfully Lindsay and Britney took it upon themselves to give us plenty of tabloid fodder to digest. But after the excitement of Lindsay's arrest and Britney's meltdown, I need something a little less 'sensational' for Friday.

Today I have a special treat for you. Poetry is a popular topic here on Orble. For some brilliant advice on how to write poetry, or to see some outstanding examples of poetry visit David's Mindorgasm's blog, or see Ash's work (just two examples of the many talented poets found here on Orble!). However, if like me you can't write poetry to save your life, never fear, you'll still enjoy today's Friday Fun! Miswanderlust pointed me in the direction of this brilliant piece of poetry featured on Spout Blog. The piece below is by a young lady named Erin and is her tribute to Allen Grinsberg's 'Howl'. Lindsay Lohan Arrested Again!

Rehab worked pretty well don't you think?
Just 11 days after completing a 45 day rehab stint, Lindsay Lohan has been arrested for drink driving again! The starlet was arrested last night for driving dangerously and was found to have a blood alcohol content of between 0.12 and 0.13! The police also found cocaine on Lindsay when she was booked. Lilo was released on $25K bail.

Police were apparently called after Lindsay's vehicle was chasing a car being driven by her assistants mother (her assistant was let go last night). Lindsay was picked up by police at approximately 2:15am. Lindsay has since been released by the police and is currently in hiding. According to her rep she is "in care". She supposedly has entered rehab once again.....though this time, not at Promises (the facility she left 11 days ago). Lindsay was scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show this evening to promote her movie "I know Who Killed Me" which is released on Friday,. Not surprisingly, she has cancelled her appearance

Though she's still signed to Jive Records (you have to wonder for how much longer), Britney Spears has now appointed herself as her new manager and publicist!! According to Page Six, "She is doing all of her own business now."

It seems that of late Steve-O has been working hard and partying even harder. Nicole Ritchie has lucked out and managed to get her trial for her DUI charged delayed once again.
Ritchie's lawyer told the judge that their expert witness Dr Terence McGee was unavailable to testify. McGee will apparently question the reliability of the urine testing that Nicole was subjected to.

Charlie Sheen isn't letting 2 failed marriages dampen his enthusiasm for married life, getting engaged to his 29 year old girlfriend, Brooke Mueller.

Sheen's (41 yrs) divorce to Denise Richards, his second wife and mother of his 2 children, was finalised in November last year. Richards told People magazine "I am genuinely happy for the two of them, in fact, I sent them flowers to congratulate them both. I've spent time with her, and my girls really like her. That's all that matters to me." They've come a long way from their acrimonious divorce, in which Richards claimed Sheen threatened to kill her

Avril Lavigne - Song Thief???

Avril Lavigne is having a bad month in July. Song writers Tommy Dunbar and James Gangwaller that Avril's song "Girlfriend" is a rip off of their "I want to be your boyfriend" which was performed by 70's rock group The Rubinoos.

In another slap in the face, songwriter Chantal Kraviazuk riduculed the notion that Avril Lavigne writes all her own songs, saying "Avril doesn't really sit and write songs by herself or anything

And not just because of the damage listening to crap like that will do to your ears!!! 2 fans were injured at a Beyonce concert in St Louis on Sunday night.

As the concert began, two fans were injured when the pyrotechnics went amiss. The injured fans were taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment

It's Monday and I think I'm still hungover from Friday. So I need to ease my way into the working week. It was a pretty quiet news weekend from the world of celebrities. Lindsay is still apparently in rehab (though she comes out every day to go to parties), Paris finally cracked and dumped her 'new' image to hit the town and we're all waiting breathlessly for Nicole Richie's trial to start on Wednesday so we can find out if she really is pregnant! In short, there's not much news worth sharing.

On July 2nd, Lindsay Lohan turned 21. Hey, she's now legally allowed to drink!!! Lindsay had originally planned to have her birthday bash at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas, however she cancelled the party in favour of a more low-key beach bash.

Lindsay, who is currently completing a rehab program at Promises rehab centre (the same place Britney went to rehab.......and hasn't that worked well for her) came out of rehab for the day to celebrate
